PVRIS plays to a sold out show at The Fonda theater in Hollywood California

Last night we had the honor of being live in attendance at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood California as PVRIS continued their very first North American headlining tour.

Supporting acts Beach Weather, CRUISER, and Lydia got the crowd going early with high energy performances. We have to admit that after last night CRUISER won us over and we are proud to call ourselves fans.

We’ve been fans of the band PVRIS for a little under a year now. We’ve always been fond of Lynn Gunn’s vocals and her ability to mix the raspiness of her voice with the soothing tones and turn into something truly special. Add Alex Babinski’s beautiful yet haunting guitar melodies with a dab of synths, and Brian MacDonald’s funky yet hard hitting bass lines then you have the perfect band.

We would be foolish not to make mention of their touring drummer Justin Nace. Although not an official member of the bad his presence is definitely felt and if he wasn’t there, there surely would be a void

Going into this show we knew we would enjoy ourselves but we must say the three piece band from Lowel Massachusetts, who got their big break when they won the Ernie Ball battle of the bands completion in 2013 earning them a spot on Warped Tour exceeded our expectations.

From the opening guitar rift of Smoke till the very last note of My House the trio had an energy that radiated from the stage to the crowd from start to finish. The conversation between Lynn and the audience between songs really made it feel more intimate.

Perhaps our favorite moment from last night is when Lynn asked all in attendance to put their phones in their back pocket during the song Holy. She continued  by saying ”

I know it sounds like a crazy idea but just for this one song enjoy the moment, enjoy each other.

While most obeyed some still had their phones up in the air but Lynn sassy as ever called them out on it changing the lyrics from “poor poor poor unfortunate soul ton”put away your phones phones phones”

It’s clear that PVRIS are a group of humble induviduals who are greatful for all the love and support they receive. It shows in their preformnce being hands down one of the most interactive bands we’ve seen live.

If you are unfamiliar with PVRIS than now is a good time to get familiar with them. They’re already on a fast climb to success but we’re telling you these guys are going to be EVERYWHERE and we’re honored to be on the journey.

If you’re attending one of the remaining dates we hope you enjoy yourself because we know we did
