Get ready for a trip down memory lane! Weigel Broadcasting Co. has partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to launch MeTV Toons, a new national television network dedicated entirely to classic cartoons. Debuting June 25th, this channel promises to be a treasure trove of animation gold.

A Star-Studded Toonverse Awaits

Looney Tunes fans have a big reason to celebrate! Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety, and Marvin the Martian will all be starring attractions on MeTV Toons. But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Get ready to share laughs with Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear, Fred Flintstone, and many more beloved characters.

The fun doesn’t stop there! MeTV Toons will also feature iconic cartoons like Rocky and Bullwinkle, Woody Woodpecker, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Betty Boop, and even Speed Racer!

Tuning into MeTV Toons

MeTV Toons will be accessible through a variety of platforms, making it convenient for viewers:

  • Over-the-air broadcast television: Catch it on your local channels.
  • Traditional MVPDs: Available with cable or satellite subscriptions.
  • Virtual MVPDs: Stream it through online providers.
  • Ad-supported streaming services: Enjoy cartoons on-demand with ads.

Extra Doses of Cartoon Expertise

MeTV Toons goes beyond simply showing cartoons. Animation historian Jerry Beck will be involved in creating original content, offering viewers insightful information and behind-the-scenes knowledge. Additionally, voice actor Bob Bergen, famous for giving life to characters like Porky Pig and Tweety, will be the network’s signature voice, lending his talents to announcements and program introductions.

A Celebration of Classic Animation

Jerry Beck emphasizes that MeTV Toons is distinct from existing cartoon channels. They plan to offer a vast and diverse library, featuring not only Warner Bros. cartoons but also gems from Sony, Universal, and potentially other studios. There are even hints about bringing back long-lost animated shows! Importantly, the focus remains on classic animation; MeTV Toons won’t be producing new content.
