Get Ready For More Macabre Adventures – ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Has Started Filming

Fans of the darkly comedic hit series ‘Wednesday’ can breathe a sigh of relief (or perhaps hold their breath in anticipation)! Netflix has officially started production on the second season, promising even more of the macabre charm that captivated audiences worldwide.

Jenna Ortega reprises her iconic role as the stoic and sardonic Wednesday Addams. She’s joined by other fan-favorites from Nevermore Academy, including Emma Myers (Enid), Hunter Doohan (Tyler), Joy Sunday (Bianca), and more. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán return as the delightfully sinister Morticia and Gomez Addams.

New Faces and Iconic Guest Stars

Season 2 welcomes a star-studded cast of newcomers. Steve Buscemi joins in a series regular role – his character remains a mystery. Other exciting new regulars include Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.

Guest stars also abound! Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, and Heather Matarazzo will add even more quirky depth to the world of Nevermore. And in a truly nostalgic twist, Christopher Lloyd – the beloved Uncle Fester from the classic ‘The Addams Family’ will make an appearance.

What to Expect: More Mystery, Less Romance

Showrunners Al Gough and Miles Millar promise a season that doubles down on the spooky mystery elements that hooked viewers the first time around. Jenna Ortega has also hinted that this season will focus less on Wednesday’s romantic entanglements and more on the horror aspects of the show. Fans of chilling plot twists and eerie atmospheres are in for a treat.

It’s an exciting time for fans of the Addams Family’s delightfully offbeat daughter. While no release date is announced yet, stay tuned for more ‘Wednesday’ updates as Season 2 develops.
