Grace VanderWaal has her date. She’ll perform live on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” on Aug. 23.

It will be the second performance on the talent show for VanderWaal, the singer who won fans over from around the globe after her June 7 appearance, when she played her ukulele and sang a poignant rendition of her original song, “I Don’t Know My Name.”

After the June performance, judge Simon Cowell compared her to singer Taylor Swift, and judge Howie Mandel gave her the coveted “golden buzzer,” which sends a competitor directly to the semifinals.

More recently, the 12-year-old singer performed for a crowd of over 1,000 people on July 8 at the Palisades Credit Union Park in Pomona and got a warm sendoff from the crowd at the Lafayette Theatre on July 30. (see videos)
