It was announced this week that the cast of the original Degrassi Jr High / High cast will do a series of reunions across Canada. Stefan Brogren who played the role of “Snake in the original Jr High and High series in the 1980s along with Pat Mastroianni who played Joey Jeremiah broke the news during an appearance on Toronto’s CP24 Breakfast show Friday.

It’s been 20 years since the original cast of Degrassi has been in the same room. The national reunion tour will appear at comic conventions throughout Canada. Stefan Brogren currently serves as producer for the current Degrassi Next Class series. Brogren says he gets stopped by fans young and old either known as “Snake” to the older generations or the principal “Mr. Simpson” to fans of “Next Class”.

The reunion tour begins with a stop at the Toronto Comic-con in March and will continue throughout 2017 with various cast members from both “Degrassi Jr. High and “Degrassi High”.

The current incarnation of the Degrassi franchise, “Degrassi Next Class” can be seen on Netflix in the United States and Family Channel in Canada. The series just released season 3 in January.
