4 Times Entertainment has announced the release of a new musical adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s beloved coming-of-age novel, Little Women. The new production will be a reimagining of the classic story that has captured the hearts of readers for generations. The musical will be introduced to the public through two intimate concert presentations, which offer a unique opportunity to experience the magic of the new production firsthand.

The new musical adaptation of Little Women is simply titled “Little Women,” and it features a score by Dan Redfeld, with lyrics by Christina Harding and John Gabriel Koladziej. The show follows the journey of Jo March (Jenna Lea Rosen), a young writer struggling to choose between the comfort of the life she knows and the path she is destined to take. Featuring a lush, cinematic score and compelling lyrics, the musical version delves deeper into the human condition of each character, inviting the audience to rediscover the beloved March sisters with fresh eyes.

The first concert will be held on March 6th at the Knitting Factory in North Hollywood. The audience can expect an industry-exclusive listening party, providing an opportunity to experience the captivating new take on the classic story. A portion of the proceeds from the March 6th concert will be donated to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which gifts children with books. After the performance in Los Angeles, the show will move to New York’s acclaimed 54 Below on April 24th.

According to co-book writer and lyricist John Gabriel Koladziej, “Making a period piece like Little Women accessible to an audience for today is not terribly challenging because the characters and themes are timeless. The story is about normal, everyday people and how we learn to grow up. It’s about finding the courage to live fully in our true selves.”

Co-book writer and lyricist Christina Harding added, “We want to celebrate this aspect of Louisa May Alcott’s story and hope that young people will receive the message that you are needed — there is room for your true self whoever you are, and for whatever brings you joy.”

The concerts feature celebrated performances by a talented cast that includes Jenna Lea Rosen, Chris Mann, Terron Brooks, Ali Ewoldt, Kim Huber, Sophie Pollono, Kayla Stone, and more. The score is composed by accomplished composer and conductor Dan Redfeld, who currently serves as the music director for CTG’s revival of The Secret Garden at the Ahmanson Theatre.

In anticipation of the Little Women musical, selections from the show have already been released, including “Fly Away,” “Little Women,” and “When Nighttime Falls.” These songs provide fans with an early taste of the musical’s beautiful score.

The Little Women musical promises to be a fresh, captivating take on the classic story that will enchant and inspire audiences of all ages.
