“ALF” Reboot In The Works At Warner Bros

Warner Bros is working on a reboot of the popular 1980s series “ALF”. The reboot will focus on ALF returning to earth and with a new family as reported by THR.

The original series ran for four seasons on NBC. The character was performed by producer and puppeteer Paul Fusco, with Max Wright, Anne Schedeen, Andrea Elson and Benji Gregory rounding out the cast.

No network is attached as of yet, and sources stress that the reboot is in very early development.

The project has been in the works since May. Additional details were not immediately available.

Reboots continue to be in high demand as cable, broadcast and streamers look for proven hits in a crowded landscape expected to top 520 originals this year. Key to the reboots is having the original producers involved, which ALF  has in Warner Bros. TV, which originally distributed the comedy.
