Paramore Performs An Emotional Version of “Hate To See Your Heart Break”

This past week Hayley Williams and Taylor York collectively known as Paramore set sail on the seas of Mexico in their second annual Parahoy Voyage. A three day cruise where fans had the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite band.

If you’ve been following Paramore for the last 11 years like we have then you know that the band has had their fair share of trials and tribulations.
Perhaps though the band suffered their biggest and most painful  loss this past December when founding member and bass player Jeremy Davis left the band. Although his reasons for leaving are unclear it was obvious that both Hayley and Taylor were affected by his departure.

Paramore has never been the band to shy away from their issues. They’ve always been so open with their fans (who they refer to as family) and during parahoy that didn’t change.

Right before they went into playing their song Hate to see your heart break frontwoman Hayley Williams spoke to the crowd delivering an emotional speech saying

“This past year has been a year that for me, I never want to relive again,” . “At the same time, I would do it again if it meant understanding what having a real friend in this life feels like. Taylor, thank you so much for being awesome. “It is an honor to play music with all the people that are here. It’s been an honor to play music with Josh with Zac, with Jeremy, everyone that’s ever played with Paramore. It’s such an honor, to have friendship and music rolled into one thing… only GOD can do that. I’m just glad it’s not over because I want to keep doing it.”

It was hard for us to watch the video without shedding a tear but it also reminded us why we’re not ashamed to be fans of this band and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
