The power of Christ compels you…to check out the bone-chilling first trailer for The Exorcist: Believer, a brand new sequel to the iconic 1973 horror classic.
Ellen Burstyn reprises her role as Chris MacNeil, who dealt with her daughter’s infamous demonic possession decades ago. Now an older Chris races to help when evil entities haunt a new generation in this nostalgic revival produced by Blumhouse and Morgan Creek.
Believer focuses on a father named Victor (Leslie Odom Jr.) struggling to save his possessed daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett) and her friend Katherine (Olivia Marcum). With nowhere left to turn, he seeks out Chris’ experience with expelling sinister spirits.
But can Chris stop the spread of evil this time? The nail-biting footage teases two girls overcome by satanic forces, with Exorcist’s legendary frights brought screaming into 2023.
Longtime fans will surely flock to theaters for this chilling continuation of Regan MacNeil’s iconic story. And horror buffs hungry for fresh scares are in for a treat this Halloween season.
Believer kicks off an ambitious new Exorcist trilogy from Halloween reboot director David Gordon Green. A sequel titled Deceiver arrives April 2025 to keep the nightmare going.
With legacy sequels like Scream and Halloween proving successful lately, the time is ripe for The Exorcist to reclaim its horror crown. This franchise relaunch has all the ingredients – including original star Ellen Burstyn – to become a frightening hit.
So prepare for heads to spin when The Exorcist: Believer hits theaters October 13. The power of Christ compels you…to mark your calendars!
