In the early hours of New Year’s Eve — A source close to Betty tells TMZ … she didn’t have any sudden illness, nor was she battling any particular ailment. We’re told she’s believed to have died from natural causes.

While we admit that this isn’t the kind of news we would want to take into the new year we encourage everyone to reflect on the impact that Betty White made in our lives

If you grow up with the television then you know who Betty White was. Whether it was for her infamous role as Rose Nylund In Golden Girls, or perhaps it was her role in Mama‘s house, or maybe it was her role in the Mary Tyler Moore show. Even for the younger generations out there perhaps you saw legendary Betty White in things like Hot in Cleveland or recognize-her voice from Toy Story 4 or Panyo.

The fact of the matter is Betty White was a steeple in the lives of many growing up. She never failed to make us laugh, in fact, some of us wished she was our mom or our grandma. She had an energy that radiated off of the screen. You just wanted to be friends with this woman and often times her infectious attitude was a light in the dark.

It is clear that Betty White touched the lives of everyone she knew and fans alike. So if you’re struggling with this news today know that you’re not alone. Take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her golden girls cast mates having a good time over some cheesecake.
