The final trailer for the upcoming “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire” hints that fan-favorite ghosts from the franchise could make appearances when it releases later this month.
While not the first look at the latest installment and follow up to Ghostbusters: Afterlife , this final trailer suggests that the iconic containment system traditionally housing ghosts from previous installments has the potential to fail. This opens the door for beloved supernatural characters to potentially resurface.
The trailer also confirms more screen time for fan-favorite Mckenna Grace’s character Phoebe on the revamped Ghostbusting team and what might happen to her, as they reunite with surviving original members at the classic New York City firehouse location which now reportedly houses a covert ghost research lab.
Devoted followers have been eagerly analyzing each new trailer, and will determine if the balance of nostalgia, scares and laughs lives up to the originals when Frozen Empire arrives in theaters on March 22.
