Nickelodeon’s popular character Dora the Explorer is set to make her big screen debut in the upcoming animated short film “Dora and the Fantastical Creatures.”

The 7-minute film will play before showings of “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie” starting September 29th. The short follows Dora and Boots on an adventure to the magical land of alebrijes to save the creatures from Swiper.

Diana Zermeño voices Dora, with Asher Spence as Boots and Marc Weiner as Swiper. Additional voice actors include Anairis Quiñones, Danny Burstein, and Kate del Castillo.

Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, “Dora and the Fantastical Creatures” offers a first look at Dora’s return in a new CG-animated Paramount+ series set to premiere in 2024. The streaming show will feature Dora in all-new adventures with an expanded voice cast.

After being a staple on Nickelodeon for many years, the beloved explorer Dora is embarking on new journeys, both on the big screen in this short film and later on Paramount+. “Dora and the Fantastical Creatures” marks the character’s theatrical debut and kicks off this next chapter.
