Seth MacFarlane Sings The Muppets is out now. the 14-track Verve/Republic set is streaming today, and the crooner’s felt-and-fur songbook tribute finally moves from preorder to play button.
As TDN reported earlier, MacFarlane’s tenth studio album pulls favorites from The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, and The Muppets Take Manhattan, plus staples from Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. The timing lines up with the 50th anniversary of The Muppet Show, and the arrangements (Andrew Cottee, with John Wilson conducting) lean into the same lush, classic-orchestra lane MacFarlane has been chasing on projects like last year’s Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements. Sessions were cut at Skywalker Ranch with Joel McNeely producing.

The clear spotlight track is “Movin’ Right Along,” MacFarlane’s duet with Liz Gillies.
