A prequel series based on “It”‘ currently titled “Welcome To Derry” is in the works at HBO Max. Variety reports that the series will be set in the 1960s leading up to the events in “It: Part One.” Andy Muschietti is said to be on board to executive produce the series. Muschietti directed both “It: Part One” and “It: Part Two.” The report also claims that the new series will include an origin story for Pennywise the clown.
