All Elite Wrestling has set aside an entire night of television for one of its own. The promotion announced Monday, alongside I AM ALS and Team Gleason, that a special AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite will emanate live from Akins Ford Arena in Athens, Georgia on Wednesday, September 9, airing live on TBS and streaming simultaneously on HBO Max.

The show is built around Tanea Brooks, better known to wrestling audiences simply as Rebel, who has been part of the AEW roster since the company’s earliest days and was diagnosed with ALS in March 2026. Rebel is scheduled to appear in person that evening, and every fan through the doors will receive a limited edition Rebel trading card sheet produced by Upper Deck, available while supplies last. For anyone who followed her onscreen run as the ever loyal presence in Britt Baker’s corner, the idea of an arena full of people applauding her by name is going to land hard.

A donation from the event will be split between two organizations working on opposite ends of the same fight. I AM ALS is a patient led movement that pushes for federal funding, better care and faster research while giving people living with the disease and their caregivers a direct voice in policy. Team Gleason, founded by former New Orleans Saints safety Steve Gleason after his own diagnosis, focuses on the daily reality of the illness by putting assistive technology, equipment and care services into the hands of patients so they can keep living full lives.

The choice of venue is not incidental either. Athens is home to the University of Georgia’s Regenerative Bioscience Center, which has spent two decades pulling together researchers from engineering, veterinary medicine, agriculture and the life sciences to develop regenerative therapies for conditions including ALS, stroke and traumatic brain injury. Running the benefit show in that community gives the night an additional layer of meaning beyond the arena itself.

AEW CEO, General Manager and Head of Creative Tony Khan framed the show as both a tribute and a fundraising push, saying the company is proud to present the event and looking forward to honoring Rebel while raising awareness and donations for two groups working toward a cure and toward better lives for people affected by the disease.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, July 31 at 10 AM ET through AEWTix.com. Fans who want a shot at early access can register for presale opportunities by signing up as an AEW Insider at allelitewrestling.com/aew-insider. Official Rebel Heart shirts and bracelets are already available at ShopAEW.com, with 100 percent of the profits going directly to I AM ALS and Team Gleason.

AEW says additional details about the card and the evening’s programming will be announced in the coming weeks. Dynamite continues to air every Wednesday from 8 to 10 p.m. ET on TBS with a simulcast on HBO Max.
