The Karate Kid series spin-off, Cobra Kai, has just announced that it will be concluding with its sixth and final season on Netflix. The show’s creators, writers and executive producers, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg, shared the news with fans in an open letter, expressing their honor and gratitude for the opportunity to bring the Karate Kid universe back to life and to continue to expand the original storylines.

In the letter, the trio emphasized that their goal from day one has been to end the show on their own terms and in the time and place they had always envisioned. They also reassured fans that although this may be a bittersweet moment for the fanbase, the Miyagiverse has never been stronger. They also teased that the upcoming season will be the biggest yet and thanked the fans for their support throughout the series.

The creators have previously mentioned that they had the potential to continue the show for several more seasons, but always had a clear ending in mind. While it’s sad to say goodbye to the show, the Karate Kid universe will live on, and fans can look forward to one last season of Cobra Kai, which promises to be the biggest yet.
