Prime Video and Netflix are rolling out two of the fall season’s most anticipated genre offerings, with Carrie and Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 season 2 both getting exclusive new looks as part of ScreenRant’s fall TV preview.

Carrie, Mike Flanagan’s reimagining of Stephen King’s 1974 novel, arrives on Prime Video October 7 with all eight episodes releasing at once. Summer H. Powell takes on the title role of the telekinetic teen at the center of one of horror’s most enduring stories, with Flanagan folding in more modern elements alongside the classic tale of trauma and revenge. The cast surrounding Powell includes Samantha Sloyan, Matthew Lillard, Kate Siegel, Katee Sackhoff, and Rahul Kohli.

Over on Netflix, the Stranger Things universe keeps expanding even after the flagship series wrapped. Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, the animated spinoff that debuted this past April, returns for a second season on September 17 with all 10 episodes. Picking up around Valentine’s Day 1985, shortly after the gang defeated the Upside Down’s monster in season 1, the new season sends Nikki Baxter, Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Will, Lucas, and Max after a fresh batch of mysterious creatures, this time of the paranormal variety.

Both shows are part of a stacked fall lineup this year. ScreenRant’s full preview rounds up more than 40 shows premiering between September and December, including new seasons of Chad Powers, NCIS, and Grey’s Anatomy alongside genre fare like Crystal Lake and Below.
