Emerging indie rock-folk singer Nikita Lev has released her highly anticipated second single, “Like I Care,” which is now available for streaming. The song showcases Nikita’s introspective lyricism, taking listeners on a journey through her thoughts as she navigates life, appreciating unexpected moments while leaving others behind.

Nikita describes “Like I Care” as a song about “being alone and walking around in New York City, not having any distractions and thinking about fate.” The track effectively captures the complexity of emotions associated with personal growth and the process of letting go of past relationships. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists such as Phoebe Bridgers and Lana del Rey, Nikita’s rich lower tone adds depth to her storytelling.

The single paints a vivid picture of a teenage girl in New York City, observing the world around her and coming to terms with her evolving relationships. The soaring chorus signifies the protagonist’s realization that she is finally free from the hold of her past, embracing the chance to move forward.

“Like I Care” also highlights Nikita’s extensive musical background, with intricate melodies on guitar and piano. Hailing from a musical family, Nikita began playing piano and flute at the age of 10 before learning to play the guitar. She writes her own music using either her guitar or piano, bringing a level of authenticity and personal touch to her work.

In “Like I Care,” Nikita demonstrates her ability to create evocative and profound music that resonates with listeners of all ages. She tackles the complicated emotions that come with letting go, offering a fresh and honest perspective. Be sure to check out “Like I Care,” now available on all major streaming platforms.
