Prime Video just dropped the full trailer for Mike Flanagan’s Carrie, giving the clearest look yet at how the eight-episode Stephen King reimagining builds toward its shattering climax. All episodes still land Wednesday, October 7 on the streamer.
As TDN reported earlier when the Comic-Con teaser and premiere date landed, Flanagan’s take has always framed Carrie White as more than a remake of Brian De Palma’s classic. The new spot leans into that promise. Per Deadline, the official trailer “pulls back the curtain” on an expanded world and deeper character work, asking how much audiences really know about Carrie — or what happened in Chamberlain — while Summer H. Howell’s telekinetic teen navigates modern high-school cruelty on the road to one night that changes everything.
The Hollywood Reporter carried the same drop Wednesday morning, noting Prime Video’s tease that the series brings “new depth and complexity” to beloved characters as Carrie builds toward that single, shattering night.
Howell stars as Carrie White, with Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White. The series regular ensemble also includes Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, Josie Totah as Tina, Arthur Conti as Billy, Thalia Dudek as Emaline, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin, and Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle. Recurring Flanagan-world faces in the guest mix include Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Michael Trucco, Crystal Balint, Tim Bagley, and Heather Graham.
Flanagan wrote and executive produces as showrunner; Stephen King also executive produces. Flanagan directed episodes 101, 102, 107, and 108, with Kate Siegel, Axelle Carolyn, Kyra Sedgwick, and Hiromi Kamata directing the middle four. Amazon MGM Studios produces.
