Tubi announced this week a significant expansion of its streaming catalog, adding more than 100 animated series to its platform beginning March 1st. The free, ad-supported service will launch a substantial collection of Cartoon Network programming from the 1990s and 2000s, alongside classic Hanna-Barbera properties and DC animated series.

The additions include several cornerstone titles from Cartoon Network’s peak era. Dexter’s Laboratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd n Eddy, and the original 1998 Powerpuff Girls series will all become available on the platform. The move also brings the 2003 Teen Titans series, Codename: Kids Next Door, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and Animaniacs to Tubi’s growing animation portfolio.

DC superhero content features prominently in the lineup. Multiple Batman series will stream on the platform, including The Batman and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. The complete Justice League series joins the roster alongside other DC properties such as Static Shock and Legion of Super Heroes.

The catalog extends beyond Cartoon Network’s library to include vintage Hanna-Barbera series like The Yogi Bear Show, Top Cat, and Hong Kong Phooey, as well as Looney Tunes content spanning multiple iterations. More recent shows such as Unikitty and the 2017 Wacky Races reboot round out the collection.

The expansion reflects Tubi’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns Cartoon Network and the majority of titles in this content drop. The deal positions Tubi as a centralized destination for nostalgic animation content at a time when several subscription-based competitors have cycled older library titles out of their catalogs to prioritize original programming.

Industry observers note the strategic timing of the launch. Free, ad-supported streaming services have gained market share as subscription fatigue increases among consumers juggling multiple paid platforms. By offering sought-after library content without requiring payment or account creation, Tubi aims to capture viewers seeking accessible entertainment options.

The March 1st rollout gives Tubi one of the largest collections of late-90s and early-2000s animation available on any streaming platform. With hundreds of episodes across the catalog, the addition represents a substantial content acquisition that could drive significant viewership growth for the service.
