A new trailer has debuted for Grow, a family film set to open in U.S. theaters on October 3. Blending comedy and heart, the movie follows a young girl with an unusual gift for growing giant pumpkins — while also giving audiences an early look at Dominic McLaughlin and Nick Frost, who will soon take on the roles of Harry Potter and Hagrid in HBO Max’s upcoming Harry Potter series.

Directed by John McPhail (Anna and the Apocalypse), Grow stars Bridgerton’s Golda Rosheuvel as Dinah, a farmer whose life changes when she takes in her niece Charlie (Priya-Rose Brookwell, The Lazarus Project). Together they enter the town’s competitive pumpkin-growing contest, a seasonal tradition filled with eccentric characters and high stakes.

Alongside Rosheuvel, Brookwell, McLaughlin, and Frost, the cast includes Tim McInnerny (Notting Hill), Jane Horrocks (Absolutely Fabulous), Alan Carr, Kathryn Drysdale (Bridgerton), and Sharon Rooney (Barbie). The ensemble brings a mix of established stars and rising talent to the screen.

Grow is produced by Double Nickel Entertainment in association with Sky, Orogen Entertainment, and Blazing Griffin. Fathom Entertainment will distribute the film in the U.S., with tickets set to go on sale September 5.

Positioned as a seasonal alternative to horror titles, Grow offers a family-focused story about resilience, connection, and the joy of community, arriving just as the Halloween season begins.
