The first look at Spy Kids: Armageddon has been revealed, as writer-director Robert Rodriguez reboots the popular Spy Kids movie franchise. This new generation Spy Kids movie will debut on Netflix on September 22.

Robert Rodriguez returns to co-write and direct this new Spy Kids movie, introducing young spies Everly Carganilla and Connor Esterson to take on a technological supervillain.

In Spy Kids: Armageddon, the children of spies played by Gina Rodriguez and Zachary Levi must save their parents and the world when a villainous Game Developer unleashes a computer virus giving him control over all technology.

Rodriguez shares that fans who grew up with the original Spy Kids movies are now sharing them with their own kids. This new movie aims to capture the gadget-filled, family-friendly action that made the franchise a hit.

Billy Magnussen joins the cast as the evil Game Developer, with DJ Cotrona also starring. Fans recognized Robert Rodriguez as the creative force behind the four earlier Spy Kids movies released between 2001 to 2011.

With high-tech spy gadgets, youthful energy, and thrills for the whole family, Spy Kids: Armageddon looks to continue the beloved franchise for a new generation.

Spy Kids devotees can look forward to Rodriguez’s latest installment when Spy Kids: Armageddon comes to Netflix worldwide on September 22.
