Snoopy is in trouble with Santa. Apple TV released the first trailer today for Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy, a new Peanuts Christmas special that finds the world’s most imaginative beagle on the wrong side of the gift list.
The rest of the Peanuts gang is on its best behavior, but Snoopy has somehow landed on Santa’s naughty list. With just 12 days left until Christmas, he sets out to prove he is not such a bad beagle after all, and learns along the way that the season is about more than presents. The trailer gives the special a tagline any dog owner will recognize: even good dogs have naughty days.
The special arrives with a soundtrack to match. Emmy Award-nominated composer Jeff Morrow provides the score, and the original music lineup is a strong one: John Legend sings a new song, “Get Ready,” produced by Raphael Saadiq; Kamasi Washington contributes “Trying To Get There,” featuring Leon Bridges; and Laufey performs the holiday classic “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” produced by Spencer Stewart. A soundtrack album from Milan Records arrives the same day as the special.
Snoopy Presents: 12 Days of Snoopy is the latest entry under the Snoopy Presents banner and the first new Peanuts Christmas special in five years. Produced by Peanuts and WildBrain and inspired by Charles M. Schulz’s comic strip, it premieres Friday, November 13 on Apple TV, ready for family viewing at home.
