Apple TV+ has unveiled the premiere date and a first-look image for its highly anticipated limited series, “Lady in the Lake.” The captivating thriller, starring Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram, is set to transport viewers back to a turbulent era in 1960s Baltimore.
The Story
Based on Laura Lippman’s bestselling novel, “Lady in the Lake” delves into the complexities of 1960s Baltimore. A seemingly ordinary housewife and mother, Maddie Schwartz (Portman), finds her life forever changed by an unsolved murder. Driven by the mystery, she embarks on a transformative journey as an investigative journalist. Her path intertwines with that of Cleo Sherwood (Ingram), a dedicated woman striving to balance motherhood with a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda.
Release Date and Details
The seven-part series debuts globally on Apple TV+ this July 19th with the first two episodes. New episodes will follow weekly each Friday, culminating in the finale on August 23rd.
