Tatum O’Neal Pays Tribute to Father and Co-Star Ryan O’Neal

NOTE: This article is 1 year old and may not include the most recent information.

Ryan O’Neal, the Oscar-nominated actor who starred alongside his young daughter Tatum in the 1973 classic film “Paper Moon,” passed away peacefully on December 8 at age 82. Tatum has released a statement after the news was first shared by her brother Patrick:

“I feel great sorrow with my father’s passing. He meant the world to me. I loved him very much and know he loved me too. I’ll miss him forever and I feel very lucky that we ended on such good terms.”

While Tatum and Ryan had a complicated relationship in real life, they were able to reconcile in recent years, much to Tatum’s relief. Earlier this year, she posted a touching birthday tribute to her famous father and co-star, writing “Happy birthday dad I love you.”
