Drew Barrymore, the multitalented actress and talk show host, has been selected to host the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. This annual celebration of fan favorites in film and television is scheduled to take place live at the Barker Hanger in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 7 at 8 PM ET/PT. Fans from across the globe can tune in, as the event will be broadcast live in more than 150 countries.

Barrymore is no newcomer to the MTV Movie & TV Awards scene. With nine nominations under her belt, she has won three Golden Popcorns over the years. Her first accolade was for “Best Kiss” in The Wedding Singer, followed by “Best On-Screen Team” for her role in Charlie’s Angels (2001). Most recently, she was nominated for Best Talk/Topical Show at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted. In addition, Barrymore and her longtime co-star Adam Sandler received the “Dynamic Duo” honor at the MTV Awards: Greatest of All Time in 2020.

At present, Barrymore hosts the popular daytime talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show, which has been renewed on CBS Stations through the 2023-2024 season.
