Jackie Evancho is sharing more intimate details about her battle with anorexia and the related health issues it has caused. The singer and former America’s Got Talent runner-up talked with People and revealed more previously unreleased details about what she has been dealing with for the past several years.

After a lengthy absence, Jackie Evancho has been making a comeback of sorts releasing new music sporadically and building up to the release of an album featuring a collection of Joni Mitchell covers set to drop later this summer.

In the interview with People, Jackie shares how after a car accident last year, breaks seen in her bones are more common among people in their 80s.

“They were abnormal breaks, breaks that you see in 80-year-olds,” Evancho explains. “That’s how I learned that my eating problems created osteoporosis. So now I’m a 22-year-old with osteoporosis.”
