Finn Wolfhard made his debut as a Saturday Night Live host this week, officially marking the end of an era following the conclusion of the Netflix hit Stranger Things. During his opening monologue, the 23-year-old actor poked fun at the unique experience of having 400 million people watch him go through puberty on screen. He revisited several “firsts” that happened on camera, including his first kiss and the first time his voice changed.

The celebration turned into a mini-reunion when co-stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin surprise-crashed the stage. The trio joked about the constant social media commentary regarding their “changing faces and bodies” since the show began. To cap off the segment and prove he is officially moving on from his child-star roots, Wolfhard jokingly declared to the audience and his co-stars that he is finally ready to take on “adult films.”

The episode also skewered the show’s massive fame with a pre-taped sketch mocking fan theories about a secret final episode. The parody featured several 1990s-era spinoffs, including a Sex and the City-style drama called Mike in Manhattan and a news program where Nancy Wheeler covers the O.J. Simpson car chase. The sketch ended with Kenan Thompson making a hilarious appearance as Eleven, complete with a hospital gown and a box of Eggo waffles.
