Paramount just dropped a new Street Fighter promo that puts the game moves front and center, and a fresh set look at Callina Liang’s Chun-Li arrives with it. The film hits theaters October 16.
The official clip, billed as bringing iconic game moves to life, matches specials from the arcade classics to live-action beats on screen. It is the same-day tease fans have been waiting for between the earlier trailers and opening night, and it lines up with how Legendary and Paramount have been selling authenticity ahead of release.
Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the movie reunites estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) when Chun-Li recruits them for the World Warrior Tournament. The stacked cast also includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, and more.
As TDN reported earlier when Liang was cast, and again in our December first look, Chun-Li is the force that pulls estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) back into the World Warrior Tournament.
