Sight & Sound Theatres’ stage production of Moses is heading to streaming this week, arriving on Wonder Project’s Prime Video channel Thursday, August 27.
The premiere is the latest in a season-long rollout that began July 30, when Wonder Project and Sight & Sound first announced a partnership bringing the stage company’s most extensive streaming library yet to a third-party platform. New titles have been arriving roughly every two weeks since, starting with Jesus and followed by Ruth on August 13. Moses is next, with a 30th anniversary edition of Noah, along with Queen Esther, David, Samson, Daniel, and Miracle of Christmas still to come through the fall.
Moses has long been one of Sight & Sound’s signature productions, following the biblical figure from being set adrift on the Nile as an infant through his calling at the burning bush and the parting of the Red Sea on the way to the Promised Land. The show isn’t currently running at either of Sight & Sound’s live venues in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, or Branson, Missouri, so Thursday’s streaming premiere gives audiences who missed it on stage, or who just want to revisit it, a way to see the production’s staging and effects from home.
The Sight & Sound library adds to a growing slate of faith-based programming on Wonder Project, which also includes the original series House of David and the animated films The Prince of Egypt and Joseph: King of Dreams. It also arrives as faith and family audiences have more streaming options than ever, with platforms like Angel Studios, Great American Family, and TBN+ all building out their own libraries alongside Wonder Project. Wonder Project’s subscription is available through Prime Video for $8.99 a month or $89.99 a year, with a seven day free trial for new subscribers.
