Emma Myers is well known to audiences as Enid Sinclair, the bright and loyal roommate to Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s Wednesday. Off-screen, however, she says she is far from the bubbly werewolf fans have come to love. In an exclusive conversation with People, Myers explained that she sees herself as more introverted and not much of a “people person.”
Career Momentum Beyond Wednesday
Since the success of the series, Myers has built an impressive résumé. Her Instagram following has surpassed 10 million, and she continues to take on new projects. She appeared in A Minecraft Movie, has wrapped season two of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, and will soon be heard in The Angry Birds Movie 3.
Early Steps Into Acting
Myers began performing as a dancer in Orlando before turning to acting at a young age. One of her first memories of being on set was a Publix commercial in which she played a child sneaking a strawberry from the fridge. By age 8, she was appearing in projects such as The Glades and Letters to God. Her family later moved to Atlanta so she could pursue acting more seriously during her teenage years.
Landing Enid Sinclair
When casting began for Wednesday, Myers initially read for the role of Wednesday Addams. She ultimately returned for callbacks as Enid, though she believed she had not done well. Looking back, she admitted the experience left her in tears at the time. Despite her doubts, she secured the part, and the colorful character quickly became a fan favorite.
Season Two Developments
The second season expanded Enid’s storyline, including a teased love triangle involving Ajax and a new character, Bruno. Myers noted that she was amused by the strong fan reaction online, pointing out that audiences had not yet seen how the story would play out. In addition to the new character dynamics, Enid’s look was updated with bolder styling and street-fashion influences, signaling her growth and confidence after finally embracing her werewolf identity.
Working Under Tight Secrecy
Like much of the Wednesday cast, Myers said she often received scripts with little advance notice. She explained that she only learned about a major plotline involving a body-swap with Wednesday shortly before filming began. She credited Jenna Ortega with helping her prepare for the demanding scenes.
Balancing Visibility and Privacy
Despite her rising profile, Myers has been deliberate about setting boundaries. She chooses to remain active only on Instagram, explaining that limiting her presence makes it easier to avoid the pressures of constant online scrutiny. She also shared valuable advice she once received from Jennifer Garner during filming of Family Switch: “After you audition for a project, immediately forget about it. Forget about what you do on-set. Don’t linger on any of it; just throw it away.”
A Memorable Encounter With Lady Gaga
Season two also featured the addition of Lady Gaga in a special role. Myers revealed that their scene was filmed separately, but meeting Gaga left a lasting impression. Describing the experience, she said, “She was amazing. Literally the coolest woman ever. She’s so chill. She was like, ‘If you need anything, just call me.’ I was like, ‘Yes, Ms. Gaga, I will.’”
Looking Ahead
From her earliest commercials to her breakout role in Wednesday, Myers has consistently embraced new opportunities. With more projects already lined up and her character continuing to evolve on screen, she is establishing herself as one of the most versatile young actors to watch.
