Audiences will once again be able to gather in detention with the beloved characters of The Breakfast Club as the classic 1985 film heads back to theaters for a special 40th anniversary celebration. Universal Pictures has announced that the movie will play on September 7 and September 10, giving fans two chances to experience the film on the big screen.

Alongside the theatrical re-release, Universal has unveiled a special anniversary poster highlighting the legacy of John Hughes’ coming-of-age story, which brought together a group of high school students from very different backgrounds and turned them into unlikely friends over the course of one unforgettable Saturday.

First released in 1985, The Breakfast Club has become one of the defining films of its era, capturing the struggles, humor, and heart of teenage life. Its impact continues to resonate with new generations, solidifying its place as a cultural touchstone.
