Jenna Ortega recently dropped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and as always, she delivered some great insights into what’s happening in her world. Fans of Wednesday and the upcoming Beetlejuice 2 were in for a treat as Jenna shared some exciting details.
Kicking things off, Jenna talked about her experience filming Wednesday Season 2. This time, she’s not just the star but also a producer, which she’s super excited about. Jenna loves the creative control, especially when it comes to special effects—something she’s found really rewarding.
Getting back into the Wednesday Addams mindset was another topic Jenna touched on. She admitted she was a bit nervous at first, not sure if she’d remember how to nail that iconic character after some time away. But as soon as she was in hair and makeup, it all clicked, and she was right back in Wednesday mode.
Jenna also shared a fun little tidbit about her love for horror movies. The first one that scared her? Child’s Play. She accidentally watched it when she was way too young, and Chucky definitely left an impression. But instead of scaring her off, it seems to have sparked a lifelong love of the genre.
On a lighter note, Jenna revealed that she brings a synthesizer to set to connect with the crew. She’s really into film composition and hopes to explore that more in the future—a cool side of her we don’t usually get to see.
Jimmy Fallon also had her play a game where she ranked iconic film scores. Surprisingly, she put John Williams’ Star Wars score pretty low, simply because it was the first one she heard. Her top pick? Danny Elfman’s The Nightmare Before Christmas—definitely in line with her love for all things dark and moody.
As for Beetlejuice 2, Jenna was pumped to talk about how she got the role. Tim Burton apparently knew she was perfect for it before she even knew about the project. Jenna, a huge fan of both Burton and the original Beetlejuice, couldn’t wait to join the cast. She teased that the sequel has a totally original story that’s going to surprise everyone. And, of course, they ended the chat with a sneak peek at a clip from the film.
Jenna Ortega is clearly on a roll, and between producing, acting, and her musical ambitions, it looks like she’s just getting started. If you’re excited for Beetlejuice 2 or the next season of Wednesday, this interview definitely didn’t disappoint.
