Jenna Ortega fans have reason to celebrate as Michael Keaton, her co-star in the highly anticipated Beetlejuice sequel, has shared his thoughts on her performance in the film. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Keaton, who will be reprising his iconic role as Beetlejuice, had high praise for Ortega’s work.
Keaton remarked, “Oh man, she’s good, she’s just got it, you know? She’s got the tone. She showed up and just immediately knew what the tone was and just slipped in like she does every day. She’s really special.” This glowing endorsement from a seasoned actor like Keaton is a testament to Ortega’s skill and professionalism.
In the cleverly titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Ortega will be portraying the daughter of Winona Ryder’s character, Lydia Deetz. With acclaimed director Tim Burton at the helm and Brad Pitt’s Plan B producing, this sequel is poised to be an exciting and humorous continuation of the beloved classic.
Just to recap, in addition to Keaton, Ryder, and Ortega, the film will also see the return of Catherine O’Hara, who played Lydia’s mother Delia in the original. The sequel features an impressive supporting cast, including Willem Dafoe as a law enforcement officer in the afterlife, Justin Theroux in an undisclosed role, and Monica Bellucci as Beetlejuice’s wife.
As we look forward to the film’s release on September 6, Michael Keaton’s positive assessment of Jenna Ortega’s performance only increases our excitement. With a talented cast, a visionary director, and a script that promises both laughter and thrills, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is shaping up to be a must-see for Ortega’s dedicated fanbase and newcomers alike.
