On August 4, 2023, Riley Keough was appointed by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge as the sole trustee of her late mother Lisa Marie Presley’s estate, including ownership of Graceland.
Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of Elvis Presley, died on January 12, 2023 at age 54. After her death, there was a legal dispute over her will between Riley Keough and Lisa Marie’s mother, Priscilla Presley.
Priscilla Presley had challenged a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie’s will that removed her as a co-trustee and replaced her with Riley Keough and Lisa Marie’s late son, Benjamin Keough. Priscilla claimed she was unaware of the amendment.
Riley Keough filed a petition on June 12, 2023 seeking appointment as the sole trustee. She reached a settlement agreement with Priscilla Presley and the guardian for Lisa Marie’s twin 14-year-old daughters.
As trustee, Riley Keough will manage her late mother’s estate, including Graceland, Elvis Presley’s former Memphis home. Priscilla Presley will serve as a special advisor to the estate and receive monthly payments. She will also be allowed to be buried at Graceland.
The judge’s ruling ends the legal dispute over Lisa Marie Presley’s estate. Riley Keough now has full control over the estate, including ownership of Graceland, as its sole trustee.
Riley is an actor who can currently be seen in the Amazon Prime series “Daisy Jones and the Six” where she portrays a fictional 1970s singer.
