TNT is set to expand its professional wrestling programming with the introduction of AEW: Collision, a two-hour, live, in-ring show. The new addition to the wrestling line-up is slated to debut on June 17 and will be aired on Saturdays. The announcement was officially made by Kathleen Finch, Chairman and Chief Content Officer, US Networks Group, Warner Bros. Discovery, during the company’s 2023 Upfront presentation at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
AEW: Collision has been the talk of the wrestling world in recent weeks, sparking much speculation. Fans can look forward to seeing headliners like Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo.
This expansion follows the successful launch of AEW in 2019 with AEW: Dynamite on TNT. Since then, the brand has broadened its footprint on the network and its sibling, TBS. AEW: Collision joins the ranks of AEW: Rampage on TNT, which is currently aired on Friday nights. AEW: Dynamite was relocated to TBS at the beginning of 2022 and is now aired every Wednesday. The AEW: All Access docu-series is also a TBS fixture.
Jason Sarlanis, President, Turner Networks, ID and HLN, linear & streaming, spoke about the expansion: “AEW’s roster of talent has expanded so rapidly that we felt it was time to introduce another night to our audience. AEW: Collision will offer fans two additional hours of wrestling each week, featuring epic rivalries, unforgettable matches, and beloved stars.”
