It seems like Jenna Ortega is on a roll with Tim Burton as she is reportedly in talks to star in the sequel to his classic movie, Beetlejuice. The original star of the movie, Michael Keaton, is already attached to return and the movie is said to be in the works with a potential shoot happening this summer.
Jenna recently worked with Burton on the hit Netflix series Wednesday, and a second season of the show has already been ordered. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jenna expressed her excitement about working with Burton, stating, “It’s been quite an insane experience. I’ve been lucky enough to get the opportunity to work with an iconic director who just so happens to be one of the sweetest directors I’ve worked with, and also the most detail-oriented.”
As for her role in the Beetlejuice sequel, Jenna is reportedly in talks to play the daughter of Lydia Deetz, who was played by Winona Ryder in the first movie. It will be interesting to see how Jenna brings this character to life and how it will add to the overall story of the sequel.
Beetlejuice will be celebrating its 35th anniversary in a few weeks, and it’s clear that the cult classic still has a huge following. Fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel and with Jenna Ortega potentially joining the cast, it seems like this movie will be a must-see.
