A new movie musical version of “Mean Girls” is currently in production and will feature a new cast of young stars. Tina Fey, the writer of both the original movie and musical, is returning to write the script for the movie musical.
The movie musical will follow the same story as the original movie and musical, with Cady Heron navigating the treacherous waters of high school popularity in suburban Illinois. The movie will be choreographed by Kyle Hanagami, and while filming has yet to start, the cast has been in the studio recording the songs and pre-production is already underway.
