Amazon has provided a first look at its forthcoming series that will be based on the teenage years of the Canadian musical twin duo Tegan and Sara. The sisters’ memoir, “High School,” which was published in 2019, serves as the inspiration for the television series.
Set in the mid-1990s, Tegan and Sara navigate the challenges of adolescence, including their first loves, the search for individual identity, and the strengthening of their connection through music.
The high school versions of Tegan and Sara will be portrayed by twin sisters Railey and Seazynn Gilliland, who were discovered initially on TikTok.
“High School” will debut on Amazon’s ad-supported streaming service Freevee on October 14.
