Christina Vidal brought major nostalgia to Disneyland with a surprise live performance of “Take Me Away,” the unforgettable anthem from Disney’s 2003 Freaky Friday. Fans will remember Vidal’s role as Maddie, the lead singer of the band Pink Slip in the film, and the song’s standout moment during the Battle of the Bands.
More than 20 years later, hearing her perform the song again—this time live in the heart of Disneyland—struck a powerful chord with longtime fans. The performance comes as Disney prepares to release Freakier Friday, the highly anticipated sequel, in theaters on August 8.
