Bella Ramsay Steps into Prison Life: First Look at ‘Time’ Season 2 Revealed

NOTE: This article is 11 months old and may not include the most recent information.

In the upcoming second season of the series “Time,” Bella Ramsay, along with Jodie Whittaker and Tamara Lawrance, will be seen donning prison-issue tracksuits. The first image from the series has been released, and it showcases the trio as inmates in a women’s prison in the UK. This season serves as a follow-up to the Sean Bean series of the same name.

Bella, known for their role in “The Last of Us,” will be playing Kelsey, one of the three main characters. Alongside them, Whittaker, recognized for her role in “Doctor Who,” will be portraying Orla, and Lawrance, from “The Silent Twins,” will be playing Abi. The three characters arrive at the high-security prison Carlingford on the same day to start their sentences. Despite the initial shock and violence, they soon find a sense of community and shared understanding in their new surroundings.

The second season of “Time” is an anthology-style series penned by Jimmy McGovern, who returns from the first season. Some actors from the first season will reprise their roles, including Siobhan Finneran as prison chaplain Marie-Louise. The series also welcomes new cast members such as Sophie Willan, Julie Graham, Alicia Forde, and others.

The first season of “Time” followed the story of a man, played by Sean Bean, who finds himself adjusting to life in jail after a car accident. The second season, however, shifts the focus to the experiences of the three women in prison.

The series is produced by BBC Studios for the BBC, in co-production with BritBox North America. The Liverpool Film Office has provided additional funding and support. The series is globally distributed by BBC Studios.
