The search for Enid Sinclair is on, and it is taking Wednesday Addams far from Nevermore. With filming now wrapped on Season 3, as TDN reported yesterday, Netflix’s gothic hit is deep into post-production, and the shape of the new season is finally coming into focus. Here is everything we know so far.
Where Season 2 Left Off
Season 2 ended on a genuine cliffhanger. Enid Sinclair went full Alpha werewolf to save Wednesday, then bolted into the wilderness once her transformation locked in. Wednesday responded the only way she knows how: she climbed into the sidecar of Uncle Fester’s motorcycle, with Thing along for the ride, and set off to track her roommate down. As TDN reported at the time, the trail was pointed toward Canada when the credits rolled, though the season’s first official photo suggests the hunt may have widened considerably.
The other loose thread is darker. The finale revealed that Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s long-presumed-dead sister, is very much alive, held in Grandmama Hester’s basement with “Wednesday must die” scrawled on the wall. Eva Green steps into the role for Season 3, and her arrival promises to crack the Addams family history wide open.
Who Is Joining Nevermore
The new season brings a wave of new faces, and the headliners are reunions. Winona Ryder joins as Tabitha, reuniting with director Tim Burton and Jenna Ortega after Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Eva Green plays Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s long-missing sister, continuing her own history of Burton collaborations.
They are joined by Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance. Burton, who is back behind the camera, told Netflix’s Tudum that reuniting with so many past collaborators makes the season extra special: “I’m so excited to be back for Season 3 and it’s great to be reunited with all of the original cast. The addition of some dear friends and past collaborators of mine, Winona, Eva, Chris, Noah… makes this season extra special. I feel very lucky.”
Co-creator Miles Millar has promised that viewers will see more Addams family members and learn more family secrets in Season 3, a hint that the Ophelia storyline is only the beginning of what the family has been hiding.
Who Is Back
Returning alongside Ortega are Emma Myers as Enid, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzman as Gomez, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley and Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester. With Enid missing and Ophelia resurfacing, every one of them has unfinished business.
When to Expect It
Production wrapped on September 30, with the show’s official account marking the milestone the only way Wednesday would: “Season 3 production has met its grave,” alongside a moody new photo of Ortega back at her typewriter. The show now moves into post-production, where the visual effects get finished.
Netflix has not announced a premiere date, and the season is absent from the streamer’s 2026 slate, making 2027 the expected window. TDN will keep tracking every update as the wait continues.
The Road So Far
The shoot stretched across most of 2026. Principal photography was based near Dublin starting in February, before the production swung through Paris in April for a three-day location shoot. That trip gave fans the season’s first official photo: Wednesday posed before the Eiffel Tower with Thing perched on a motorcycle seat, captioned “From Paris, with dread.”
