The news arrived the way only Wednesday Addams could deliver it. The show’s official account announced this morning that production on Season 3 has wrapped, with a perfectly deadpan caption: “Season 3 production has met its grave.”
Netflix marked the milestone with a new photo of Jenna Ortega back in the braids, seated in profile at a wooden desk and typing on a vintage typewriter under the warm glow of a desk lamp. It is a quiet, gothic frame that feels like a homecoming for the character, and a fitting bookend to a shoot that stretched across most of 2026.
Filming began near Dublin in February, as TDN reported at the time, before the production swung through Paris in April for a three-day location shoot that yielded the season’s first official photo.
The new season brings a wave of new faces to Nevermore. Winona Ryder joins as Tabitha, reuniting with director Tim Burton and Ortega after Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, while Eva Green plays Ophelia Frump, Morticia’s long-missing sister. Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan, Kennedy Moyer, Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy and James Lance round out the newcomers. Returning alongside Ortega are Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Joy Sunday, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Fred Armisen.
“We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!” co-creator Miles Millar told Netflix’s Tudum.
Netflix has not announced a premiere date, and the season is absent from the streamer’s 2026 slate, making 2027 the expected window. With filming complete, the show now moves into post-production, where the visual effects and stop-motion work get finished.
