Amazon MGM Studios has released the official trailer for Madden, the biographical sports drama starring Nicolas Cage as legendary football coach and broadcaster John Madden alongside Christian Bale as Raiders owner Al Davis.
Inspired by the life of a beloved American icon, the film chronicles Madden’s incredible journey from his Super Bowl-winning partnership with Davis and the Raiders, to becoming football’s most recognizable voice in the broadcast booth, to building the worldwide Madden NFL video game franchise.
The cast also includes Kathryn Hahn as Madden’s wife Virginia, John Mulaney as EA founder Trip Hawkins, Sienna Miller as Carol Davis, and Shane Gillis.
Madden is directed by David O. Russell from a script he co-wrote with Cambron Clark. It marks Russell’s first feature since 2022’s Amsterdam and reunites him with Bale after The Fighter and American Hustle.
The film opens in select theaters November 11 before streaming globally on Prime Video November 18.
