Camp Rock is officially back, and so is the music that made the franchise a Disney Channel staple in the first place. The full seventeen track Original Soundtrack for Camp Rock 3 has just been unveiled, giving fans their first complete look at what to expect when Connect 3 returns to camp on Disney Channel on August 13 before the film streams on Disney+ the following day. The soundtrack itself drops digitally that same day, August 14, with a vinyl pressing to follow this fall.
What immediately jumps out about this tracklist is the way it splits the spotlight. Every song is credited to the actors under their real names rather than their character names, with the notable exception of anything performed by Connect 3, the in universe band still made up of Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas. That includes the opener “Come On Over,” the reprised franchise favorite “We Rock,” and the lead single “One Beat Away,” which has already been out since July 1 and is performed by Liamani Segura alongside the rest of the Camp Rock 3 cast.
Segura, who plays newcomer camper Sage, gets some of the biggest musical real estate on the record. Beyond “One Beat Away,” she features prominently on the ensemble number “Echo” with fellow campers Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Hudson Stone, and Casey Trotter, teams up with Stone again on “Rhythm’s Only Right,” and closes things out with a solo turn on “Brand New Day.” It is a lot of trust to place in a newer face, but given how much the franchise has always leaned on its music to launch careers, it tracks that Disney is positioning her as this generation’s breakout.
The rest of the record fills in nicely around her. Barton gets a full arc with “Tomorrow” and its acoustic reprise, Pollack and Stone both get featured solo moments, and Brooklynn Pitts and Ava Jean round things out on “What It Takes” and “It’s On.” Tom Howe closes the album with a Score Suite for anyone who wants the underscore alongside the songs. It is a soundtrack clearly built to service a movie about campers competing for a spot on tour, which tracks with the plot: when Connect 3 loses its opening act ahead of a major reunion tour, the band heads back to Camp Rock to find the next big thing, and the competition among this new class of campers is the whole engine of the story.
For anyone who wants a preview of how the songs actually play out on screen, the official music video for “One Beat Away” is now up, built around the film’s own performance sequence rather than the lyric video that came out alongside the single. It is a good snapshot of the energy this movie is chasing.
Camp Rock 3 also has life beyond the film itself. Segura, Barton, and Stone are among the cast set to join the Descendants/ZOMBIES/Camp Rock Worlds Collide Concert Tour, which kicks off September 25 in Palm Springs before heading to the UK and Europe in early 2027. For a franchise that has been dormant since 2010, this is about as full court a relaunch as Disney could manage, and the soundtrack reveal makes it clear the studio is banking on the music carrying just as much weight as it did the first time around.
