“Jimmy” will officially arrive in movie theaters across the United States this fall. Burns and Co. Entertainment announced a partnership with Fathom Entertainment to bring the highly anticipated biographical drama to a wide audience starting November 6. The film explores the remarkable life of the legendary actor who remains a symbol of American integrity and resilience.

The story focuses on a pivotal transition in the career of James Stewart. It begins with his success in Hollywood, including his Academy Award win for “The Philadelphia Story”, before shifting to his decorated service as a combat pilot during World War II. The narrative follows Stewart as he flies dangerous missions over Europe and eventually returns home to star in the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

KJ Apa stars as the title character, leading an ensemble cast that includes Jason Alexander, Sarah Drew, and Neal McDonough. The production aims to highlight the personal sacrifices made by the actor during his time in the military. Director Aaron Burns and writer Justin Strawhand have crafted the project to serve as both a historical tribute and an inspiring look at a true American hero.

In addition to the nationwide release of “Jimmy”, the distribution partnership includes special plans for the upcoming holiday season. Fathom Entertainment will also bring “It’s a Wonderful Life” back to the big screen starting December 18. This anniversary screening will allow audiences to experience the film that defined the second half of Stewart’s career shortly after seeing his life story play out in the new biopic.
