Tubi announced this week a significant expansion of its streaming catalog, adding more than 100 animated series to its platform. The free, ad-supported service will launch a substantial collection of Cartoon Network programming from the 1990s and 2000s, alongside classic Hanna-Barbera properties and DC animated series.
The following titles will be available to stream beginning March 1st: Animaniacs, Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, The Batman, Ben 10 (2005), Pinky and the Brain, Justice League, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Taz-Mania, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Mask (Animated), and Yogi’s Gang.
Additional titles are also part of the broader content deal but are coming soon and will not be available on March 1st. These include vintage Hanna-Barbera series like The Yogi Bear Show, Top Cat, and Hong Kong Phooey, Looney Tunes content, DC properties such as Static Shock and Legion of Super Heroes, and more recent shows like Unikitty and the 2017 Wacky Races reboot.
The expansion reflects Tubi’s partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns Cartoon Network and the majority of titles in this content drop. The deal positions Tubi as a centralized destination for nostalgic animation content at a time when several subscription-based competitors have cycled older library titles out of their catalogs to prioritize original programming.
Industry observers note the strategic timing of the launch. Free, ad-supported streaming services have gained market share as subscription fatigue increases among consumers juggling multiple paid platforms. By offering sought-after library content without requiring payment or account creation, Tubi aims to capture viewers seeking accessible entertainment options.
The March 1st rollout gives Tubi one of the largest collections of late-90s and early-2000s animation available on any streaming platform, with more titles on the way. With hundreds of episodes across the catalog, the addition represents a substantial content acquisition that could drive significant viewership growth for the service.
