The first trailer has been released for Song Sung Blue, the upcoming musical drama starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson. The film, inspired by the 2008 documentary of the same name, tells the true story of Mike and Claire Sardina, a Milwaukee couple who formed a Neil Diamond tribute band called “Lightning & Thunder.”

Set for release on December 25, the movie highlights the couple’s journey as their shared love for Neil Diamond’s music becomes both a passion project and a way to bring people together. The trailer offers a first look at Jackman and Hudson performing classic hits including “Cherry, Cherry” and “Sweet Caroline,” capturing the energy of the Sardinas’ tribute act.

Directed by Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine), the film blends music, romance, and resilience, with Jackman and Hudson stepping into roles rooted in a real-life love story.
