Xanthis (John), Abe Bueno-Jallad (Big James), Vanessa Benavente (Mother Mary), Luke Dimyan (Judas), Richard Fancy (Caiaphas), Paul Ben-Victor (King Herod), and Andrew James Allen (Pontius Pilate).
The Chosen is a historical drama that explores Jesus’ life through the perspectives of those around him, set in first-century Israel under Roman rule. Created by 5&2 Studios and written, directed, and produced by Dallas Jenkins, the series has attracted over 250 million viewers worldwide, making it one of the most-watched shows globally. The seven-season series is distributed globally by Lionsgate.
Amazon MGM Studios recently signed a first-look deal with 5&2 Studios, securing streaming rights for the first five seasons of The Chosen and the new unscripted series The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls on Prime Video. The agreement also covers theatrical and streaming rights for the final two seasons, which will focus on the crucifixion (Season 6) and resurrection (Season 7). Production for Season 6 is currently underway in the U.S. and Italy.
