NOTE: This article is 2 months old and may not include the most recent information.

Sony Music Masterworks has released the original motion picture soundtrack for the film CABRINI, composed by Gene Back. The soundtrack is now available on major streaming platforms.

The score features Back’s classically-driven compositions, inspired by Italian opera. Back collaborated with various musical talents, including members of the Bocelli family, Rolando Villazon, and Ennio Morricone’s Roma Sinfonietta orchestra.

CABRINI, directed by Alejandro Monteverde, tells the story of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant who advocated for the rights of marginalized immigrants in New York City during the late 19th century. The film stars Cristiana Dell’Anna, John Lithgow, David Morse, Giancarlo Gianni, Frederico Castelluccio, and Virginia Bocelli in her film debut.

The film currently holds an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes and is scheduled to release internationally on March 8, International Women’s Day, in several countries, with more regions to follow.

Back, the first Korean-American composer to be selected as a BAFTA breakthrough talent, has worked on various projects that explore identity and social progress. His multi-instrumental skills have been featured in films, advertising campaigns, and collaborations with internationally recognized artists.

The CABRINI Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is released through Sony Music Masterworks, which comprises Masterworks, Sony Classical, Milan Records, XXIM Records, and Masterworks Broadway imprints.
